ORT offers structured and sequential training program that targets skills essential for proficient reading. The program delivers explicit instruction in the foundational skills and then provides students with the opportunity to apply that knowledge in comprehension exercises.
3. Frequent Training and Mastery-Based Learning Ensures Reading Skills for Life
Following a mastery learning approach, skills are presented as manageable tasks, which students master one by one. Our frequent training model (20 to 30 minutes, 5 to 7 days) wires the reading centers in the left side of the brain much faster than longer, infrequent sessions.
